The Mundus Urbano Program was nothing but an eye opener for me. Having studied urban planning in Europe, I realised with Mundus Urbano that my previous studies were focused almost entirely on the western context, missing out all the urban processes going on in the rest of the world. Understanding and working within urban challenges in informal settings was inspiring and simply changed my understanding of urban planning as a discipline. Mundus Urbano provided me with the input, the space to think and discuss and with the people (students and teachers) to exchange and question experiences. I can easily say that this program has changed the way I see myself as a professional – and I am very pleased about that.
