An Erasmus Mundus scholar is defined as an academic or
professional visiting an Erasmus Mundus program where he or she
contributes to teaching and / or conducts scientific research. |

The ERASMUS MUNDUS program provides facilities for highly qualified
scholars (academics and professionals) who want to carry out research
and teaching assignments within the MUNDUS URBANO program. Scholars must have their permanent residence in a non EU country and visit a minimum of two MUNDUS URBANO consortium partner universities and remain a minimum of two weeks at each university in order to facilitate a productive cooperation. |

Visiting scholars may apply for an
Erasmus Mundus Scholarship which finances short term visits of up to
3 months at the MUNDUS URBANO universities. The scholarship comprises
a monthly grant of 4 800 Euro including travel expenses. The amount of
the grant awarded may vary according to the actual duration of the stay
at the host institution. For further details about the grant scheme

| applications | Applications will be received until July 1st of each year. Applications from scholars are invited in the form of a letter outlining your research and teaching proposal during the stay in Europe. The universities to be visited must be indicated and justified in the scholar’s initial application. The application must also be accompanied by a recent CV and publications list. The MUNDUS URBANO scholars application form should be used to communicate your standard data. |

Applications must reach the consortium via
e-mail by January 1st, 2010. Apart from the electronic copy,
a signed paper version must arrive by January 15th at the
