The MUNDUS URBANO curriculum provides the
option of mobility between the consortium partners during the second
year. Please refer to the Mobility Chart below. When a student
undertakes the second year of the masters program at one of the
consortium partner universities, a double-degree will be awarded on
completion. |

Student mobility is mandatory between two consortium universities for
ERASMUS MUNDUS Scholarship holders whereby
the students start their course at the coordinating university in
Darmstadt for one year (basic course 2 semesters) and then continue
their specialization studies at any of the other European consortium
universities for the final 2 semesters. The final exam (i.e. presentation of the Master thesis) must always be done at either of the two visited consortium universities and is normally attended by the local examiners and an external examiner academic staff member belonging to the other ERASMUS MUNDUS consortium university that awards the double diploma. |
| study trips | Shorter study trips within the same country or within Europe are foreseen as part of the course – typically connected with a city analysis exercise. Long distance study trips are optional and normally offered between the first and the second semester. |
| summer schools | Students may take part in summer schools organized by the consortium partners or other cooperating partners. Upcoming opportunities will be communicated to students in class. |
| mobility chart | According to the Bologna agreement harmonizing university studies in Europe, the curriculum is structured into modules, which may be broken down further into courses. All modules are defined by their contents, learning outcomes and number of credit points that can be earned in the course according to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). The total two years course requires 120 credit points - normally divided equally into 30 CP per semester. |
