Bérénice Bon has a doctorate in geography from the Center for South Asian Studies at the EHESS, Paris, France. She was a visiting PhD candidate at the Centre for Social Sciences and Humanities in New Delhi between 2010 and 2013. She has participated in European research programmes on governance of urban megaprojects, and worked as a consultant for the World Bank on Transit Oriented Development policies. Since October 2015, she is the academic coordinator of the Graduate School of Urban Studies programme ‘Urban infrastructures in Transition: The case of African cities’ at the Technische Universität Darmstadt. Her current research focuses on land-based financing and transport infrastructure in Nairobi and Dar es Salaam.
